Biography
Sara Parks is a performing artist and educator based in Marquette, Michigan.
A classically trained vocalist, Sara has translated her passions for singing into musical theatre, vocal jazz, gospel, folk and more. She has performed in university and community theatre productions from a young age. Some of Sara's favorite roles include Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar, the Baker's Wife in Into The Woods, Cosette in Les Miserables, and Mother in A Christmas Story.
Sara has several years of experience directing and music directing local theatre productions, and she is a founding member and President of the Board of Directors for Big Lake Theatre Company in Marquette.
Sara holds a Bachelor's degree in K-12 Music Education from Northern Michigan University, and she has nine years of experience teaching music in the public schools, as well as five years of experience teaching private lessons to students of all ages and abilities.
Sara currently works as the music director for Messiah Lutheran Church, where she directs two choirs, serves as a lead vocalist, and leads a contemporary five-piece band.
